Heart on Your Sleeve

692

We've seen clothes that can charge your electronic devices, and now clothes that can read your mind? Well, sort of, anyway. Philips Design recently announced that it has developed a series of garments that, through "emotional sensing," can read and project wearers' emotions through the LED lights installed in the garment. The creations are part of the SKIN research project, which gives us a peek at what life might be like in a future when our clothes can aid us in communicating. The project's designers also say the line is meant to question whether an increasingly digitized society improves our quality of life. And this from one of the biggest electronics companies in the world. Hmmm.
